July 29, 2007

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Maybe they're right ... You can never go home.

Heading back to his roots was tough on Hagerstown pitcher Zach Baldwin as West Virginia scored three runs in the first and steadily pulled away Saturday for a 10-6 win over the Suns.

Baldwin, a West Virginia State graduate, was touched for six runs and nine hits in 3 2/3 innings in his return.

The Power led 6-3 after 7 1/2 innings before scoring four runs in the eighth to put the game away.

Andrew Lafave had three hits and drove in four runs for the Power.

The Suns scored single runs in the first, sixth and eighth innings before adding three in the ninth.

Leonard Davis had three hits and Jonathan Castro had a two-run single in the ninth.
