July 26, 2007

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Stephen Chapman hit two home runs and Taylor Green broke a tie with a two-run single in the seventh Wednesday to lift West Virginia to a 7-5 win over the Hagerstown Suns.

The Suns (9-24, 38-62) lost for the ninth time in 10 games.

Hagerstown reliever Chris Lugo allowed three straight two-out hits - singles by Andrew Lefave, Chuck Caufield and Green - to break a 5-5 tie.

Chapman homered to put the Power on the scoreboard in the third and added a two-run shot in the sixth to tie the game.

The Suns jumped out to a 3-0 lead for starter Jhonny Nunez on an RBI triple by Joe Napoli in the first and run-scoring singles by Jonathan Castro and Jhonatan Solano.
