Duplicate bridge club posts results

Eighteen pairs competed Friday night, July 20, in the Worldwide Charity Game during a meeting of the Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club in Hagerstown.

In the overalls, Dick and Lois Taylor finished first in the A stratum with a 69.35 percent game. Will Garner and Ann Lebherz were second in A and first in B with 61.90 percent, and Ron Clawson and Carl Herrick were third in A and second in B with 60.42 percent. Dennis Wick and Bob Osburn came in fourth in A with 58.04 percent, and Bill and Madeline Davis were fifth in A and third in B with 55.36 percent. Debbie and Scott Kiser placed fourth in B with 52.98 percent.

In the North/South section, Jack Sherwood and David Abuhove placed third in A with 52.98 percent, and Rick Elbo and Jean Toth were fourth in A with 51.79 percent. Aurora and Bruce McDonough finished third in B with 50.89 percent.

In section East/West, Anne Carden and Mary Wolfinger were fourth in A with 53.27 percent. These scores will be compared with the results worldwide to determine overall places.

The Little Heiskell Duplicate Bridge Club meets at 7:30 p.m. Fridays at the American Legion on Northern Avenue. All bridge players are welcome. For more information, call 301-797-4627.
