BOONSBORO - George T. Owens, 62, of Lanafield Circle, and formerly of Greensburg, Pa., died Sunday, July 22, 2007, at his home.
Born April 12, 1945, he was the son of late Ann Throm and Albert M. Owens Sr. He was raised in Jeannette, Pa.
After a long career in insurance sales positions, primarily with Baltimore Life Insurance Co. and American General, he retired in 1997 due to health reasons.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He was a member of Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Andrea Patrick Owens; one sister, Linda Owens of Mount Pleasant, Pa.; one niece; and three nephews.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Albert M. Owens Jr.
Memorial services will be Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. at Bast Funeral Home, Boonsboro. Pastor Thomas Crogan will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
