Doris Virginia Horine, 76, of Hagerstown, Md., went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Sunday, July 22, 2007, at her home.

Born Aug. 4, 1930, in Williamsport, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Riley and Carrie Catherine Toms French.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arlington C. Horine, who died Nov. 23, 1989.

She owned and operated Francais Beauty Salon for more than 50 years.

She attended Bethel Assembly of God Church, where she sang in the choir.

She is survived by two daughters, Vickie Diane Petricig and T9C Jean McLucas, both of Hagerstown; a son, Arlington Clayton Horine II, also of Hagerstown; two sisters, Mary Ruth Conway of Cumberland, Md., and Shirley Cline of Hagerstown; three brothers, Frederick French and Wayne French, both of Williamsport, and Harold French of Hagerstown; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.


She was preceded by three sisters, Catherine Myers, Hilda Myers and Mildred French; and four brothers, Donald French, Leon French, Paul French and Jack French.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Bethel Assembly of God Church, 515 E. Wilson Blvd. The Rev. Curt Snyder and the Rev. Robert V. Robinson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
