A Year of Herbs

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A class for the herb-lover or anyone who wants to learn about the many ways herbs can be used throughout the year, from cooking to decorating to medicinal uses and more. Montessori summer programs

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Montessori Academy will offer the following summer programs Monday, July 23, through Friday, July 27:

Dance for first through third graders, 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Arts and crafts for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, 9 to 10:30 a.m.

Dance for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, 10:30 a.m. to noon

Baking for first- through third-graders, 10:30 a.m. to noon

Heritage Craft Center

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Heri-tage Craft Center will offer classes:

Saturday, July 28 - Cookie tin ornaments for fall and Halloween. Choose to make three of the following: Squirrel, acorn, autumn leaves, pumpkin, ghost, bat, spider and web. $28 plus $10 materials fee. 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Saturday, Aug. 11 - 3-D cardinal or dove. Choose to make either a cardinal or dove, 4- to 4 1/2-inch size. $21 plus $10 materials fee. 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Enrollment for all classes, unless noted, must be completed five days prior to the beginning of class. The tuition fee must accompany registration. All materials fees are due the first day of class and are paid directly to the instructor. Classes, unless otherwise noted, will be held at Heritage Craft Center inside Crim de la Crim, 137 N. Financial advisor Shelby Penn-Ross will present her series on financial and retirement planning.
