MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Leon David Souders Sr., 75, of Mercersburg, passed away at Manor Care Health Center while in the company of family members on Wednesday, July 18, 2007.
Mr. Souders was born on June 24, 1932, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late David and Mary Ellen Shaw Souders.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Faye (Zeigler) Souders, in 1998.
He attended Boonsboro High School.
He was a retired farmer; and, he had worked for the Jamison Door Co. for 25 years as a supervisor.
He is survived by a daughter, Lydia F. Christman and husband, Tom W., of Mercersburg; sons, David and wife, Susan V., of Boonsboro, and Jonathan Lynn and Patty A. of Mercersburg; sisters; Ann Sapp of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Olive Graham of Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Mabel Wolfe of Wolfsville, Md.; grandchildren, Rian Souders at home, Jessica Souders of Mercersburg, Patrick Souders of Waynesboro, Va., Jennifer Souders of Mercersburg, Kevin Walls of Mercersburg, Jonathan Souders at home, Tommy Christman at home and David - Michael Christman also at home; and a great-grandson, Aiden Mickley of Mercersburg.
