Habitat for Humanity to host informational meeting

Habitat for Humanity's Family Services Committee will host an informational meeting Monday, July 30, for people interested in learning how they can qualify for a home through the organization.

The meeting will be at 6 p.m. in the Habitat office at the Presbyterian Church of Hagerstown at 20 S. Prospect St.

Criteria for being considered as a Habitat house owner will be discussed and questions will be answered. Assistance also will be available for completing the application.

People interested in applying should have the following information - names, addresses and phone numbers of current and previous landlords; current and previous employers, and banks or credit bureaus; copies of the past two years of federal income tax returns; three most recent pay stubs; and Maryland driver's license or photo ID.

The Family Services Committee works with families in the process of home ownership from application to selection to home completion.
