The Washington County Free Library will host Midnight Muggle Madness, a Harry Potter-themed party on the eve of the release of the final book in the Harry Potter series.
The event begins at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, with the showing of "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," the movie version of the fourth Potter book.
Following the movie, the library will host a costume party, a Bertie Botts bean-tasting contest and more activities for Potter fans. At midnight, chapter one of the new book will be read aloud.
Copies of "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows" will be distributed to those who order them through the library. The cost is $21. Also, 10 copies of the book will be given away as prizes at the stroke of midnight.
