Martinsburg attorney hurt in motorcycle wreck

July 16, 2007

WILLIAMSPORT - A Martinsburg, W.Va., attorney was injured Sunday when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pickup truck, Maryland State Police said.

Just before 4 p.m., Paul E. Lane was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Md. 68 when he turned left onto Governor Lane Boulevard and into the path of a truck, police said.

The 2006 Dodge Ram pickup truck was driven by Paul Wolford III of Williamsport. Police said he and his three passengers were not injured.

The truck skidded and steered right, police said, but Lane's motorcycle struck the driver's-side door of the truck. Police said the truck then struck a guardrail off the westbound shoulder.
