"Spiral"

"Spiral"

July 10, 2007|By EVA NIESSNER

A spiral down in D&G
The songbird's a catastrophe
We've got her talent's autopsy
And have come to an epiphany

She traded in her sweet six-string
For a billion-carat diamond ring
Her broken heart that made her sing
Became a media-famished thing

So return the posing and ennui
Give the dark muse back to me
And hope that her lyrics fly free
We won't know 'til the next CD...
