EASTLAKE, Ohio - A pitcher's duel, this was not.

The Hagerstown Suns raced to a 9-4 lead through 3 1/2 innings, only to watch the Lake County Captains tie the game with five runs in the seventh. But the Suns got the last laugh, scoring two in the eighth and holding on for an 11-10 victory Sunday.

The Suns (5-12), who won their second straight after rallying for four runs in the ninth inning for a 7-4 victory over the Captains on Saturday, broke on top Sunday with four runs in the second inning, highlighted by Francisco Guzman's two-run homer, his fourth of the year.

After Lake County's Fernando Pacheco cut the lead to 4-1 with an RBI single in the bottom of the second, Hagerstown made it 6-1 in the third behind Leonard Davis' RBI double.

The Captains (10-7) cut the lead to 6-4 in the bottom of the third. Carlos Rivera hit an RBI double in the inning.

But the Suns scored three more runs in the fourth for the 9-4 edge. Robert Jacobsen drove in two with a double and Davis' second double of the game drove in another.

Lake County tied the game in the seventh thanks to a three-run homer from Beau Mills and a two-run shot from Nick Weglarz.

Undaunted, the Suns answered with two runs in the eighth for an 11-9 lead. Davis drove in his third run of the game with his third hit, a single. Davis stole second before Joe Napoli doubled to drive him in.

Lake County loaded the bases with one out in the bottom of the eighth, but managed just one run on a fielder's choice grounder before Suns reliever Chris Lugo struck out Weglarz to end the threat.

Lugo gave up a leadoff single to David Uribes in the ninth but retired the next three Captains for the save, his second.
