Suns end losing streak

The Hagerstown Suns scored six runs in the bottom of the seventh inning and went on to beat the Lakewood BlueClaws 6-2 Saturday, ending the Suns' nine-game losing streak.

It was the first win of the second half for the Suns (1-8).

Trailing 2-0, Marvin Lowrance led off the Suns' seventh with his fourth home run. Francisco Guzman reached on an error and Leonard Davis had a bunt single. Both runners moved up on Jhonatan Solano's sacrifice bunt.

Guzman scored the tying run on a groundoout and Michael Martinez doubled in Davis for a 3-2 Hagerstown lead.

After Francisco Plasencia walked, Joe Napoli hit a two-run double, then scored on a double by Marcos Cabral.
