Zach Baldwin snuffed out a Lakewood rally in the eighth inning to help the Hagerstown Suns win their second straight game Sunday with a 6-5 win over the BlueClaws.
The Suns led 6-1 heading into the eighth until reliever Aaron Jackson was touched for four runs on three hits in two-thirds of an inning. Baldwin came on with the bases loaded and coaxed Lakewood's Doug Morales to groundout to end the threat.
Baldwin worked a flawless ninth to record his second save.
The Suns scored a run in the first, three in the second and two in the third to establish their five-run lead.
Francisco Plasencia had three hits and Francisco Guzman drove in two runs to pace the Suns (2-8, 31-46).
