Heritage days

The second annual Mountain Top Heritage Days includes a parade today at 9 a.m. on Monterey Lane, an auction today at 11 a.m., and an "old-timers softball game" Sunday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Pen Mar baseball field. Fireworks will begin today at dusk at Fort Ritchie in Cascade. Carousel show

The Miniature Carousel Builders Club will hold its sixth annual carousel show and meeting. Club members will display their miniature carousels. Today and Sunday. Valley Mall, Halfway.

Music festival

The three-day American Roots Music Festival features music on two outdoor stages from a variety of musical acts, including Melvin Seals & JGB, Donna Jean & The Tricksters, Peter Rowan and Tony Rice Quartet, David Gans, Juggling Suns, Cosmic Graffiti, Downhome Groove, The Next Step and others.
