St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Smithsburg, Pastor Mark Mooney will be speaking on the topic, Freedom, at the 9:30 a.m. communion service this Sunday.

Mooney will be speaking with a puppet at the service.

Sunday School classes for children, youth and adults are at 10:45 a.m.

St. Catherine Eastern Orthodox Church, vespers begin at 6:30 tonight.

On Sunday at 10 a.m., Father Dennis Buck will celebrate the Divine Liturgy. There will be baptism and a potluck dinner after the service.

Christ Reformed UCC in Cavetown, the 10:30 a.m. service this Sunday will feature Pastor Carol Hallman speaking on the topic, The Meaning of Freedom.

Zion United Church of Christ, the Rev. Robert Royal will speak at the 10 a.m. service this Sunday. The topic is The Rhythm of Life: Everything is a Choice. Special music will be by David Ridenour, LoriBeth Ridenour and Robert Barnhart.

New Beginnings Community Church, corner of Dual Highway and Beaver Creek Road, Hagerstown, Pastor Mark Snyder will be speaking this Sunday at the 11 a.m. worship service on the topic, The Witnessing Life in a Wayward World. LeAnne Stoneberger will bring music at this 1st anniversary service.

Youth Alive meets at 9:45 a.m.

There will be no Wednesday night events this week.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, this Sunday at the 9:30 a.m. communion service, Pastor Kenneth Hawes will be speaking on Focused Followers.

Church school is at 10:45 a.m.

St. John's Episcopal Church, the Rev. Scott Bellows will preach this Sunday at the 8 and 10:15 a.m. communion services at the church. The summer choir will bring music at the later service.
