The Warrenfeltzes

David and Beverly Warrenfeltz of Smithsburg celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 3, 2007, at a family picnic. They were married June 14, 1957, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Greensburg by the Rev. Horn.

Mr. Warrenfeltz retired in 1997 from the Smithsburg Post Office, where he worked as a mail carrier. He is the son of the late Dorsey Warrenfeltz and the late Charlotte and Raymond Willard.

Mrs. Warrenfeltz is the former Beverly Bowman and the daughter of the late Olive and Lloyd Bowman. She worked at many local grocery stores and, before retiring, baby-sat for her grandchildren.

They formerly owned Dave's Tavern in Smithsburg and the Smithsburg Car Wash.

They have three children, Kimberly Clark, who is married to Gerald, David Warrenfeltz Jr., who is married to Jodie, and Michelle Shaw, who is married to Robert. They also have five grandchildren.




The Mackerts

Charles and Judy Mackert of The Woods Resort, west of Hedgesville, W.Va., celebrated their 45th wedding anniversary June 16, 2007, at Nick's Airport Inn, north of Hagerstown. The dinner was hosted by their daughter, Tenney Bartenfelder of Hunt Valley, Md., and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rice of Mercersburg, Pa.

The Mackerts were married June 16, 1962, at the Davis Memorial Presbyterian Church in Gassaway, W.Va., by the Rev. Dennis Ketchum.

They have four children, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Mackert retired from Charter Distributing Inc. of Easton, Md. Mrs. Mackert is the former owner of Lena Darner Brides of Hagerstown.




The Clarks

Mr. and Mrs. Warren W. Clark of Hagerstown celebrated their 25th anniversary with family and friends Sunday, April 22, at Mountain Gate Family Restaurant in Waynesboro, Pa.

The Clarks were married April 24, 1982, at Broadfording Church of God in Hagerstown by the Rev. Raymond Renner, now deceased.

Mr. Clark is a dispatcher with FedEx Express of Hagerstown and is the son of Stella Clark of Hagerstown and the late John H. Clark.

Mrs. Clark has been a homemaker for 25 years and is the daughter of Donald and Nancy Carpenter of Hagerstown.

They have two daughters, Rachel and Sarah.
