Friendship Lodge No. 84, A.F. & A.M. recently honored two members for their many years of service and membership.

Charles A. Gibney Jr. was honored for 50 years of membership and D. Earl Wolf Jr. was honored for 60 years of membership.

Masons belong to the oldest and largest fraternal organization in the world, with more than 2 million Freemasons in North America and many more worldwide. The Arc of Franklin & Fulton Counties raised $2,000 at its annual bowling tournament June 2 at Lincoln Lanes to support programs for people with cognitive, intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The first-place winner was Chris Miller. Amy Hornbaker finished second and Christin Jeffries placed third. All three received trophies.

Tournament sponsors were Orrstown Bank and Naugle Motors. Lane sponsors were Norland Avenue Pharmacy, 5K Logistics and the Sociology Department at Shippensburg University.

Carmike Theaters, Red Bridge Roller Skating Rink, Cluggy's Amusement Center, Weis Markets and Giant Foods of Chambersburg and Shippensburg, Pa., donated items for participants' prize packages.
