Suns drop third straight

LAKEWOOD, N.J. - The Lakewood BlueClaws scored once in the first inning and three times in the second, and went on to a 5-3 victory over the Hagerstown Suns on Saturday.

The BlueClaws have won the first three games of their four-game series with the Suns to start the South Atlantic League's second half.

Charlie Yarbrough's RBI double made it 1-0 in the first. Lakewood turned four singles into three more runs in the second.

The BlueClaws added an insurance run in the eighth on Yarbrough's RBI single.

The Suns took a 2-1 lead in the top of the second behind Sheldon Fulse's triple to center and Jhonatan Solano's RBI double to left. Solano scored on Francisco Plasencia's groundout.

Hagerstown cut Lakewood's lead to 4-3 in the seventh as Plasencia singled and scored on Leonard Davis' RBI single.
