Young Artists' Summer Workshops

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - The Arts Centre will offer six weeks of diversion for kids whose passion is art and performance. A special Friday activity is planned for most weeks. Scholarships are available. Learn a Dance in a Day

Writing course

Fun with clay

SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, W.Va. - Participants will make two different hand-built pottery projects in each class. Pottery completed will be fired and available for pickup during the next class. All About Animals

Children in first, second and third grades will learn about different kinds of pets, how to take care of pets, and the responsibilities that go along with owning a pet. 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, June 25, through Friday, June 29, and again Monday, July 30, through Friday, Aug. 3. Montessori Academy summer programs

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. -Montessori Academy will offer the following summer programs Monday, June 25, through Friday, June 29:

· Music for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, 9 to 10:30 a.m.

· Science for grades one through three, 9 to 10:30 a.m.

· Music for grades one through three, 10:30 a.m. to noon

· Science for 3-, 4- and 5-year-olds, 10:30 a.m. to noon

· Brain games for grades three through six, 9 to 10:30 a.m.

· Scrapbooking for grades three through six, 10:30 a.m. to noon

Dance lessons

Washington County Museum of Fine Arts will offer dance lessons taught by Tricia Babbie of Ballet & All That Jazz. Continues through Friday, June 29. 10 a.m. to noon, ages 4 through 8; 1 to 3 p.m. Ages 9 through 13. Both sessions will culminate with a public performance on the last day of the workshop. Art workshop for children
