Man's photography on display at art gallery in Hagerstown

June 21, 2007

The opening reception for Bruce Wilder's solo photography show was held June 2 at the Contemporary School for the Arts & Gallery Inc.

The show, consisting largely of black-and-white and duotone images, often features statuesque female nudes, but also extends to scenic nature and moody cemetery depictions.

Wilder won the opportunity to have a solo show in the gallery's open photography competition earlier this year.

Rainbow Connection will be sponsoring next month's show, a collection of works by Sibyl MacKenzie, the winner of the gallery's mixed media competition earlier this month. MacKenzie produces vibrant oil paintings with a unique style.

The public is invited to visit the gallery for the Wilder exhibit, which continues through June, and the opening reception for the MacKenzie exhibit, scheduled for July 14 from noon to 3 p.m.

The gallery at 4 W. Franklin St. is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m.
