MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A man and a woman were arrested Tuesday evening after allegedly engaging in a heroin drug deal with a police informant in the Foxcroft Avenue area of Martinsburg, the city's police department announced Wednesday.

William Roger "Will" Calloway, 31, and Christina Lee McCumbee, 21, both of 210 W. Martin St., Apt. 4, in Martinsburg, were arraigned by Berkeley County Magistrate Jim Humphrey, who set a $100,000 bond for each of them, court records show.

Calloway was charged with delivery of a controlled substance (heroin) and McCumbee was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, according to a news release from Martinsburg Police Department Detective S.F. Doyle.

The drug deal - $90 for two packages of heroin - was orchestrated by the Eastern Panhandle Drug & Violent Crime Task Force at the Wal-Mart/Sears area of the Martinsburg Mall, according to a complaint filed against Calloway by West Virginia State Police Cpl. B.W. Bean.

According to the trooper's complaint, Calloway was riding in a black Nissan Xterra, when he met the informant, who was provided with $100 by the Task Force for the deal.

McCumbee was driving the vehicle, which was registered to Calloway, Bean said in his complaint.

Doyle said in his complaint against McCumbee that a search of the suspects' vehicle led to the discovery of four bags of heroin in her compact in a purse that contained her driver's license.
