Lots of locks for love

June 19, 2007

Several members of the United Methodist Youth Fellowship of St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Smithsburg had their long hair cut and donated it to Locks of Love, a program that makes wigs for children undergoing cancer treatments.

Youth director Debbie Mooney agreed to get her hair cut if any girls in the youth group would take part in the program. Recently, Mooney and youth group members Dominique DiLandro and Torre Montoya went together for comfort and support to get their hair cut.

The donated hair was mailed to Locks of Love in Lake Worth, Fla.
