June 18, 2007

Hagerstown Community College's College for Kids summer program offers fun, interactive classes for those going into grades one through 10.

Students meet Monday through Friday, from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m., on the main campus of HCC.

The following classes still have open enrollment for the week beginning July 2. There will be no class Wednesday, July 4.

Kids going into first grade will participate in games, reading, art and discovery science activities featuring insects and small animals in "Creative Connections."

Kids going into grades two and three can spend the week "Under the Sea" learning about sea creatures and mammals through a variety of projects, games, story time, music and art. Kids this age who love reading, using their imagination and discovering new places can get on board the "The Great Reading Adventure" train for a week of fun projects, story time, crafts and reading.
