MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - A Hagerstown man suspected of shooting a Martinsburg man on Friday morning has not been found, according to a Berkeley County Sheriff's Department dispatcher.

Markus Alanzo Watts, 23, of Hagerstown, was charged in that shooting, which took place on Friday at 4 a.m. outside The Waffle House at 1807 Edwin Miller Blvd. The warrant for Watts still is active, the dispatcher said.

Ben McMeans, 28, was shot twice in the upper body, and his injuries at the time were not believed to be life-threatening. He was taken Friday to City Hospital in Martinsburg. A nursing supervisor at the hospital on Saturday said McMeans was not there.

Anyone with information about Watts may call the Berkeley County Sheriff's Department at 304-267-7000 or Crime Solvers at 304-267-4999. Callers may remain anonymous.
