ALS fundraiser set at Whitetail

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - A pig roast fundraiser at Whitetail Mountain Resort on Saturday, June 30 from 4 to 7 p.m. will benefit people with ALS, commonly known as Lou Gehrig's Disease.

A live auction will include four Orioles tickets and a handmade quilt(s). Raffle items include sporting events, restaurant and other gift certificates, quilts, jewelry, pottery and an iPod.

Live entertainment will feature musicians Tom and Ted. Games, prizes, giveaways, food and a moon bounce are included in the price of admission.

The public is invited to purchase tickets or make a donation by contacting Caroline Miller, PALS of PA 717-377-1348 or caroline4580@comcast.net. Tickets are $20 per person; and $5 for kids younger than 14.

Ticket sales at the door may be limited and prices will be increased to $25 per person, $8 for children younger than 14. Tickets for children younger than 2 are free.

The first ALS event, held in 2005, was attended by more than 200 people and raised more than $25,000.
