Innovative Incorporated

Innovative Incorporated, which for six years has serviced the computer networks of area businesses, has opened a technology showroom and suite of corporate offices at 222 E. Oak Ridge Drive, Suite 2500, in South Pointe shopping center in Hagerstown.

The business will host an open house on June 14-15, from noon to 5 p.m. each day. Existing clients and the general public may meet certified technicians and representatives from Microsoft, Hewlett-Packard, and Cisco.

On Friday, the event will feature the Cisco Network On Wheels (NOW) Van, a mobile demonstration unit featuring current technologies relevant to small and medium-sized businesses, such as network security, telephony and unified communications.


Lunch will be available at noon each day, there will be free T-shirts and baseball caps to the first 50 visitors each day, free custard cones to the first 25 visitors who present their business cards and a drawing for a free Microsoft Xbox 360 game console.

Beef 'O' Brady's

Beef 'O' Brady's opened its doors at 18727 North Pointe Drive in Hagerstown on May 28.

The owners of the sports pub, Dave and Linda Watters, say the restaurant wants to be a community partner, forging close relationships with local schools, sports teams and other organizations. Beef 'O' Brady's brings a family-friendly element to the traditional sports pub concept with multiple TVs, arcade games and casual dining, according to a prepared release. Beef 'O' Brady's of Hagerstown will feature large screen TVs, complemented by smaller screens strategically placed for viewing from anywhere in the restaurant. It will also feature interactive video games for children and a menu offering Buffalo wings, chicken fingers, salads, a variety of sandwiches and burgers and select desserts. As a family-oriented concept, Beef "O' Brady's of Hagers-town limits its alcohol to beer and wine and closes at 11 p.m.

Despite its name, Beef 'O' Brady's is best known for its Buffalo chicken wings.

Edward Jones

The six local Edward Jones financial advisers will host a free broadcast presentation entitled, "How Your Personality Can Affect Your Portfolio's Performance," Tuesday, June 12, at 11:30 a.m. and 6:30 p.m.

Participants will get information on how their behaviors might influence the overall performance of their investments and how this can potentially help them avoid mistakes.

The broadcast, presented at select Edward Jones branch offices nationwide via the firm's private video network, features Edward Jones and guest and investor behavior expert Terrance Odean, of the Haas School of Business at the University of California, Berkeley.
