CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Borough police and the Franklin County Coroner's Office were investigating the death of a Chambersburg man whose body was discovered in his home Saturday evening.

Jeffrey H. Kline, 40, of 980 Scotland Ave., was found dead in his home at about 8 p.m. Saturday, police said. Detective Will Frisby said police found the body after neighbors reported a strong odor coming from Kline's residence.

Coroner Jeffrey R. Conner said an autopsy was performed Monday at Lehigh Valley Medical Center in Allentown, Pa., but a ruling on the cause and manner of death could take eight weeks pending the results of toxicology tests and other studies.

There was no indication of foul play in Kline's death as of Monday, Frisby said.

Police are asking that anyone with information concerning Kline contact the department at 717-264-4131.
