HCC offers kids science, fitness classes

Hagerstown Community College's College For Kids summer program offers kids entering grades six through eight explorations of microscopic proportions during "Micro Mania," being offered June 25 to 29 on the main campus.

Students will investigate the world invisible to the unaided eye and learn about viruses, bacteria and animals. The class will meet from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Funky Fitness

Hagerstown Community College's College For Kids summer program will offers Funky Fitness class for children going into grades four and five.

Students will learn how to stay healthy in a fun, interactive and hands-on setting packed with activities, including investigating what makes the body tick, creating new and unusual ways of exercising, making healthy snacks and planning healthy meals. They also will take a scientific look at the human body. The class will also research the lives of many famous athletes and Olympians.
