Health Fest planned for June 16



Health Fest: A Beauty and Wellness Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 16, at 6 S. Potomac St., Hagerstown.

The event will feature exhibitors, demonstrations, health screenings and speakers, all focusing on natural and holistic wellness strategies. Call 301-791-1674.




Smoking cessation training program



ROMNEY, W.Va. - The American Lung Association of West Virginia will offer adult facilitator training for its Freedom From Smoking adult cessation program at South Branch Inn in Romney. The cost is $200 and includes training materials.

The training is a day and a half long. Those who attend will be certified to facilitate the eight-session Freedom From Smoking clinic program.

Community health fair in Hagerstown



Walnut Street Community Health Fair will be held Saturday, Aug. 11, at 24 N. Walnut St., Hagerstown.

The free health fair will include free health screenings and health information, agency giveaways and door prizes, fire truck tours, old-fashioned popcorn, refreshments and drinks, and balloons.
