LAKE GENEVA. Wis. - After a three-week break, Hagerstown's Ashley Grier returned to the DuramedFUTURES Tour in the Aurora Health Care Championship played at Geneva National Golf Club.

Grier stood in a tie for 17th place following the first round, with 21 golfers due to complete their round this morning after play was halted by lightning.

Grier fired a 1-over-par 73 over the 6,406-yard, par-72 layout, firing nines of 37 and 36. She had four birdies, three bogeys and a double bogey.

Hagerstown boxing

The Hagerstown Has Been Boxing Club will hold roughly 10 sanctioned amateur fights on June 16 at its headquarters at 245 Prospect Ave. Action starts at 2 p.m.

The boxers are coming from Baltimore, Washington and Virginia.

Tickets cost $10 apiece for adults and $5 for kids under 14.
