Block in city will be closed for Blues Fest

One block of North Potomac Street, between Franklin and Washington streets in Hagerstown, will be closed to traffic Saturday beginning at 6 a.m. for the 12th annual Western Maryland Blues Fest, according to a City of Hagerstown press release.

Vehicles only will be allowed to turn left onto Potomac Street at Franklin Street in order to access the North Potomac Street Parking Deck. Vehicles approaching the festival area should expect to encounter barricades, cones and festival information signs, according to the release.

That block of North Potomac Street is expected to be reopened by 12:01 a.m. Sunday, according to the release.

Emergency vehicles will not be able to pass through this block of Potomac Street on Saturday, according to the release.
