Blues Fest

The 12th annual Western Maryland Blues Fest begins today with the Lotta Blues Show from 4 to 9:30 p.m. in the City of Hagerstown's Central Parking Lot off North Potomac Street in Hagerstown, with performances by Ronnie Ray & the Coolers, Bobby Flurie Band, Nora Jean Bruso and Walter Trout and the Radicals. Tickets are $17.50 in advance or $20 at the gate. Photo ID is required. The Downtown House Party will be Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. in the Central Lot, with Joe Bonamassa as the featured artist. Tickets are $27.50 in advance and $30 at the gate; $9.50 in advance and $7 at the gate for ages 6 to 12; and free for ages 5 and younger. Combination tickets for today's and Saturday's shows are $37.50. The Family Blues Picnic will be Sunday from noon to 5 p.m. in the band shell at City Park in Hagerstown. Admission is free. Trains for everyone

Pottery festival

The Cumberland Valley Pottery Festival, co-sponsored by Renfrew Museum and Park and the Nicodemus Center for Ceramic Studies and its Mont Alto Pottery Cooperative, celebrates the works and artistry of regional ceramists. Tractor pull

Summer gospel fest

The Summer Gospel Fest and Hog Roast is sponsored by the Jefferson County Parks & Recreation Commission. Performers include Michael Birchfield, The Wilsons, Debra Spates, Inner Harbor and more.
