PREP SOFTBALL



EVERETT, Pa. - Sam Bain hit a two-run single with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to lift Southern Fulton to a 3-2 victory over Hyndman in the PIAA District 5-A semifinals Tuesday.

The Indians (18-3) will face Northern Bedford in the championship game Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at Everett.

Courtney Trainor (8-2) pitched a one-hitter with two strikeouts and a walk for Southern Fulton. Keena Elbin had two hits and scored two runs and Natasha Bard added two hits for the Indians.




PREP BASEBALL



ELCO 7, Greencastle 2

DILLSBURG, Pa. - ELCO scored seven runs in the first two innings and held on for a PIAA District 3-AAA semifinal win over Greencastle-Antrim.

Drew Bittner and Tim Armstrong each had two hits for the Blue Devils (15-8), while Bittner allowed two runs in six innings of relief.

Greencastle will play either Bishop McDevitt or Donegal for third place Thursday, with the winner advancing to states.
