Halfway Park Days

Wine and arts festival

The West Virginia Wine & Arts Festival features wines grown and produced by seven West Virginia vintners, as well as two microbrews on tap. Event also includes music, art vendors and food. Memorial Day parade

Retired U.S. Navy Capt. Lee Kaiss, a Hagerstown native, will be grand marshal of the annual Sharpsburg Memorial Day parade. Event includes two wreath-laying ceremonies. Today, wreath-laying ceremony at Town Square at 11 a.m., parade starts at 1:30 p.m., wreath-laying ceremony at Antietam National Ceremony about 3 p.m. Parade starts at Sharpsburg Elementary School and proceeds east along Main Street to Antietam National Cemetery.

Boonsboro carnival

The Great Boonsboro Rescue Co. Carnival features music, rides and carnival-style food. The event is a fundraiser for the Boonsboro Ambulance & Rescue Co. Today and Sunday, 3 p.m. to midnight; Monday through Saturday, June 2, 5 p.m. to midnight. Concerts start at 7:30 p.m. each night. Shafer Memorial Park, Boonsboro. Choral program

St. Patrick's Chorale will perform "The Home of the Brave," its annual Memorial Day program featuring patriotic songs in an arrangement that tells the story of the United States through music and narration. Memorial Day parade

Orlyn Oestereich, a retired colonel who lives in Boonsboro, will speak during a ceremony before the annual Boonsboro Memorial Day parade. Sunday, ceremony from 1 to 1:30 p.m., parade starts at 2 p.m. Ceremony will be in front of the Boonsboro Library on North Main Street. Parade starts at Boonsboro High School, heads south on Main Street going through the square and ends at Reeders Alley.

Youth festival

The Renfrew Institute's 18th annual Youth Festival features hands-on activities, a performance by the Waynesboro (Pa.) Children's Theatre Troupe and "My Grandfather's Circus," a performance by Benjamin Sota, who will lead a workshop teaching circus skills before the show. Sunday, 1 to 5 p.m. Renfrew Museum and Park, 1010 E. Main St., Waynesboro. Free; food will be on sale. Certain activities require registration. Ballroom dance
