Tibetan Meditation Center of Frederick, 9301 Gambrill Park Road, a 25th anniversary celebration of the founding of the center will be held today at 10 a.m.

Two Western nuns will be installed as Buddhist leaders including Ani Trinlay, who is only the second American so honored and the first from Maryland.

Begun in Washington, D.C., in 1982, the center moved to Frederick in 1992.

Outreach Ministries' Summer in the Park, weekly on the theme, Death of a Nation. This Sunday's event at Hagerstown City Park begins at 1 p.m.

Marlowe (W.Va.) Assembly of God, 9045 Williamsport Pike, the Randall Clay Family Ministries will be appearing this Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m.


Salem Ridge Mennonite Church, 441 Pensinger Road, Greencastle, Pa., Children's Day will be held Saturday, June 2, from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Events for children ages 5-12 will include "Freddy the Clown" and a day of fun activities including games, crafts and worship.

Lunch will be provided for the children

At 3 p.m., there will be a short closing program and ice cream.

Christian Life Church, Chambersburg, Pa., a church yard sale will be held Saturday, June 2, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Items include children's clothing, toys and accessories, household items and baked goods. The yard sale benefits the ministries of the church. For directions call 717-267-1280.

Faith Christian Fellowship, 16726 Lappans Road, Hagerstown, the 10th anniversary of the church will be celebrated Sunday, June 3, at 10:30 a.m.

Dave Vance will be installed as head pastor while former Pastor John Miller's missions venture will be launched.

The children are singing the song and the pastors' wives will perform a duet. There will be a Biblical challenge from Larry Henderson, vice president of Churches in Missions, and a baton handoff from Miller to Vance.

A picnic on the grounds begins at 3:30 p.m. There will be inflatables, sand volleyball, basketball and football also available on the property.

An evening concert with Steve Nemeth begins at 5:45 p.m. A "This is Your Life" presentation will focus on the Millers.
