Tennis for children

CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. - Registration for a children's summer tennis program for girls and boys ages 3 to 18 of all skill levels, will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Fridays, June 1 and 8; and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, June 2 and 9, at Jefferson County Memorial Park tennis pavilion, South Mildred Street extended.

The first week, Monday, June 11, to Friday, June 15, will be group lessons followed by seven weeks of leagues and tournaments. The program will be held mainly from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each weekday.

The cost is $45 for the first child and $20 for each additional family member.

Tough Talk for boys

The program Tough Talk, on what boys 10 and older need to know, will be held Thursday, June 14, at Robinwood Medical Center, Suite 142, Robinwood Drive, east of Hagerstown. A car show and sports clinic will be held from 3 to 6 p.m., followed by dinner at 6 p.m. and talk at 6:30 p.m. The program will cover teen pregnancy, healthy relationships, family planning, financial budgeting, gang awareness and sexually transmitted diseases.
