Physics Olympics yields local winners

A Boonsboro High School team won a number of honors April 21 at the University of Maryland Physics Olympics, including second place overall out of 14 teams.

In eight individual events, Boonsboro finished first in the Open and Closed Tubes mystery event. The team placed second in three other events - Solar Furnace, Egg Drop and Optics Orgy. Boonsboro earned third place in the Balloon-Powered Car event.
