Are volunteers needed only for construction? Executive Director Sherry Brown Cooper said the organization needs people to serve on committees, which focus on everything from selecting building sites to fundraising.

Can teenagers volunteer? Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to work on a job site. Restrictions are in place for volunteers between the ages of 14 and 18, Brown Cooper said.

When does construction work take place? Construction work on Habitat homes in Washington County generally is performed on Wednesdays and Sundays.
