Spring wildflower walk

THURMONT, Md. - Join a ranger at Brown's Farm trail in Owens Creek Picnic Area. Explore an easy half-mile trail that meanders through several habitats. Great Brunswick Train Show

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Model railroad clubs set up model train layouts throughout the town; includes N-gauge, Z-gauge, G-gauge and Lego layouts. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Start at Brunswick Railroad Museum, 40 W. Potomac St. $7; $4, ages younger than 12. Rail Pass includes the event and museum admission for $10; $7, ages younger than 12. Proceeds benefit Brunswick Railroad Museum.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. -Two Shepherd University seniors will screen their documentary "Beautiful?", a 15-minute film that explores media portrayals of women and attempts to define beauty. Bethany Davidson and Melanie Friedman, both of Martinsburg, W.Va., produced the film for their Documentary Journalism class at Shepherd. 2 p.m. Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies auditorium, Shepherd University. Free.
