Antietam National Cemetery will participate this morning in EchoTaps Worldwide in recognition of Armed Forces Day, according to a Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau press release.
Students from Boonsboro High School and former members of the military will perform taps at 11 a.m., according to the release.
At 10:30 a.m., a park ranger will lead an instructional program at the Antietam National Battlefield Visitor Center, then escort interested visitors and members of the public to the cemetery for EchoTaps.
EchoTaps Worldwide is an event where buglers play a cascading rendition of taps at national cemeteries, veterans cemeteries and American battle monument cemeteries around the world, according to the release.
