The Fraziers

Chester "Chet" and Fannie Frazier of Hagerstown celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary on April 17, 2007. An anniversary dinner was given in their honor at Richardson's Restaurant with family and friends in attendance.

The Fraziers were married in 1937 by the Rev. Frank Mentzer in Hagerstown.

They have two daughters, Elizabeth Wallech of Falling Waters, W.Va., and Jean Hamilton of South Bethany Beach, Del.; and one son, Chester "Cook" Frazier of Hagerstown. They have seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and three great-great-granddaughters.

Mr. Frazier served in the National Guard and is a veteran of World War II. He retired from Pangborn Corp. in 1976. Mrs. Frazier is a homemaker.


The Harts

Joseph and Ida Hart of Hagerstown celebrated their 60th anniversary Tuesday, April 10, 2007. They were honored for this milestone event at a gathering held by their family Sunday, April 8, 2007. The anniversary cake provided for the event included a photo from their wedding day. Also received was an anniversary greeting from the White House.

Joseph and Ida were married in 1947 by the Rev. Herpich in Boonsboro. Mrs. Hart is the former Ida Younker of Hancock.

Mr. Hart served in the European Theatre with honors during World War II. He retired from Fairchild-Republic in 1986. Mrs. Hart also retired and is a homemaker.

Both are lifelong residents of the area. They have two children and two grandchildren.
