Auditions for 'Pooh Corner'

THURMONT, Md. - Thurmont Thespians Children's Summer Music Theatre will hold auditions for its summer production of A.A. Milne's "House at Pooh Corner," a musical. Performances will be July 19 to 22 and 26 to 29.

Children's auditions will consist of script readings and singing a short song, or telling a story. Auditions are from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, May 21, and Tuesday, May 22, at St. John's Lutheran Church social hall, at 15 N. Church St.

Auditions for 'A Chorus Line'

FREDERICK, Md. - Way Off Broadway Theatre will hold auditions for "A Chorus Line."

Performances are Friday and Saturday evenings, with matinees on the first, third and fifth Sunday of each month and select Thursday evenings, Aug. 31 to Nov. 3.

Auditions, 5 p.m. Sunday, 8 p.m. Monday, May 21. Roles are open for male and female performers ages 16 and older. Prepare 16 bars of music and be ready to sing, dance, and read from the script. All roles are non-union paying.

Art fest on Sunday

Boonsboro potter Allison Severance hosts an art show and demonstration festival at Coles Pottery from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. today.
