May 11, 2007

Andrew Lefave went 3-for-3 with a two-run homer as the West Virginia Power beat the Hagerstown Suns 6-3 Thursday at Municipal Stadium. The game was delayed three times by rain and eventually stopped for good with one out in the bottom of the sixth inning.

The Power (23-8) jumped out to a 5-0 lead against Suns starter Marco Estrada (1-3), who gave up five earned run on seven hits and a walk in his four innings.

The Suns (12-21) cut it to 5-2 in the bottom of the fourth. Justin Maxwell scored from third on Brett McMillan's groundout and Erick San Pedro brought in a run when he was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded.

Hagerstown scored its third run in the fifth on an RBI double by Christopher Marrero.

After the Power made it 6-3 in the top of the sixth, the game was called in the bottom half after San Pedro's one-out single.
