Rhonda D. Gamber, 48

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - Rhonda D. Lane MacDurmon Gamber, 48, of Hagerstown, passed away Thursday, May 3, 2007, at her home.

Born Sept. 16, 1958, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of Catherine Jane (Tracy) Lane of Hagerstown and her adoptive father, Ronald Eugene MacDurmon Sr., and her father, the late Joseph L. Lane II.

Ms. Lane had worked as a caregiver for In Home Health Care of Berkeley County, W.Va.

She is survived by two sons, Benjamin Kepler of Mount Savage, Md., and Brian Kepler of Hagerstown; two sisters, Mona Jo Frazier and Brenda Lee Herald, both of Hagerstown; four brothers, Jeffrey Kyle Garnard of Texas, Wes Wayne MacDurmon of Florida, Mark Steven MacDurmon of Vermont, and Ronald Eugene MacDurmon of New Jersey; her grandmother, Hilda Jane Hose; and two nieces, Rhiannon Lee Hutzell and Elise Ladd MacDurmon.

She also is survived by her husband, William Gamber of West Virginia; and two stepdaughters, Amy Daruagh and Dawn McCartin.

In addition to her father, she also was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara C. Lane, and a brother, Joseph L. Lane III.

A memorial service will be conducted at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, Hagerstown, on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at 10 a.m. with Pastor Joseph Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hagerstown.

Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to services.

H. Elmo Angle, 88



OCT. 9, 1918-MAY 6, 2007

QUINCY, Pa. - H. Elmo Angle, 88, a resident of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of 8890 Stottlemyer Road, Waynesboro, Pa., died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in the nursing home.

Born Oct. 9, 1918, in Welsh Run, Pa., he was the son of the late Albert Elliott and Emma Kathryn Niswander Angle.

His wife, Eileen S. Anthony Angle, died Dec. 8, 2006. They were married Dec. 23, 1940.

He last rented the John Knepper Farm on Tomstown Road, Waynesboro, where he farmed for 33 years until his retirement in 1983.

He was a member of Waynesboro Church of the Brethren, where he served as deacon and on various committees and was a member of Christian Home Builders Sunday school class.

He was a member of South Chapter AARP 2977 and National AARP.

He is survived by two sons, Ernest B. Angle and Stephen M. Angle, both of Waynesboro; one brother, Lester E. Angle of Welsh Run; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Anthony E. Angle; five sisters, Rhoda E. Straley, Anna B. Buchanan, Thelma L. Arnold, Adaline D. Wenger and Mary E. Yeager; five brothers, Lee R. Angle, Aden E. Angle, John D. Angle, Albert R. Angle and Glenn E. Angle; and one granddaughter.

Services will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Waynesboro Church of the Brethren. The Rev. Prudence B. Yelinek will officiate. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, Waynesboro.

Jason V. Wolfe, 70

SMITHSBURG - Jason V. "Buster" Wolfe, 70, of Raven Rock Road, died Sunday May 6, 2007, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Dec. 27, 1936, in Garfield, Md., he was the son of the late Clifford W. and Mildred Kuhn Wolfe.

He was employed for Callas Contractors, Hagerstown, and retired in 1998.

He was a member of South Mountain Rod and Gun Club, Smithsburg.

He is survived by wife of 48 years, Joyce E. Robinson Wolfe; four sons, Rodney V. Wolfe, Ricky G. Wolfe, Jeffrey A. Wolfe and Robin L. Wolfe, all of Smithsburg; one sister, Carolyn Routzahn of Hagerstown; two brothers, Elvin Wolfe of Wolfsville and Jackie Wolfe of Smithsburg; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one infant sister, Josephine Wolfe; one infant brother, Howard Wolfe; two sisters, Pauline Kipe and Vera Hasenbuhler; and one brother, Clifford Wolfe Jr.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Garfield United Methodist Church. Pastor Randy Reid will officiate. Burial will be in Garfield United Methodist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at J.L. Davis Funeral Home, Smithsburg.




Herbert M. Peters, 76



MARCH 17, 1931-MAY 6, 2007

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Herbert M. Peters, 76, of 3157 Etter Road, died Sunday, May 6, 2007, in his home.

Born March 17, 1931, in Chambersburg, he was the son of the late Vincent Eugene Peters and Mary Belle Biesecker Peters.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Fae Meredith Peters, and his second wife, Nancy Martin Peters.

He was a graduate of the former Chambersburg High School.
