Plans in the works now for fest celebrating then

May 08, 2007

BOONSBORO - The Boonesborough Days Committee is in the process of planning the 2007 festival, scheduled for Sept. 8 and 9.

The festival is a juried show of 150 artists and crafters from several states, with a focus on the historic aspect of the original show 36 years ago.

Some of the events planned for the show include historic demonstrations, including Colonial candle making, soap making, broom making, basket weaving, pottery and a "sheep-to-shawl" demonstration.

A strolling banjo player will perform, and the Washington County Master Gardeners will once again have a plant clinic and information booth.
