CASCADE - A 47-year-old Waynesboro, Pa., man was flown to Shock Trauma Medical Center in Baltimore, where he was in critical condition Thursday night after a motorcycle crash.

Washington County Sheriff's Department Deputy 1st Class Scott Smith said Terry Gsell was riding a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle when he crossed the center line on a curve and hit the driver's side bumper of a pickup truck going the opposite way on Pen Mar Road in Cascade.

A Washington County Emergency Services dispatcher said the accident was reported at about 3:30 p.m. in the 24900 block of Penn Mar Road.

A nursing coordinator said Gsell was in critical condition late Thursday.

Smith said Terry Gift, 69, of Waynesboro, Pa., who was driving the 1993 Ford Ranger involved in the crash, was not hurt.
