Hagerstown Business andProfessional Women

Leitersburg Senior Citizens Club

Monday, May 7, 11:30 a.m., Leitersburg Fire Hall. Bring a brown bag lunch. Dessert will be provided. There will be a guest speaker.


Chapter 623; Tuesday, May 8, 1:30 p.m., Next Dimensions Restaurant, Funkstown. Deputy Jim Holsinger from the Crime Prevention Unit of the Washington County Sheriff's Department will tell how terrorism affects Washington County. Refreshments will follow. Tickets for the June 12 picnic will be sold; deadline is June 7. The details will be released at the meeting.


Tri-State Scale Modelers

Society for Pennsylvania Archaeology

Friendship Quilters Guild

Tuesday, May 8, 9 a.m., meet at the Kmart parking lot. The bus will travel to the Rawlings Conservatory in Druid Hill Park, featuring a palm house, tropical house, desert house, orchid room and outdoor gardens. Following the tour the group will travel to Baltimore's Inner Harbor for lunch and shopping.
