Officer bitten by large dog during search of Frederick home

FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick Police Department officer was bitten several times on his arms by a large dog that attacked when police executed a warrant in Frederick, police said.

Police found about three-quarters of a pound of suspected marijuana and made three arrests Friday at 459 Arwell Court, according to a press release.

Police said the injured officer used his service weapon once on the dog, subduing the dog. The officer was treated at Frederick Memorial Hospital and released.

Jacqueline Courtney Carlisle, 24, of 459 Arwell Court, and Angelo Michael Nicholson, 21, of 103 Bose Court in Thurmont, Md., are charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.

Anthony Wade Hess, 25, of the same address, is charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of drug packaging material, police said.
