FROSTBURG, Md. - Ethan French, Mark Darlington, Alex Loizos, Blaine Coates each had two hits for the Applemen (10-15). Ryan Larose had three RBI.

Hun 12-14, Mercersburg 9-9

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Cord Heine hit a grand slam in the third inning, and Kenny Burns hit a two-run homer in the sixth in a first-game loss for Mercersburg Academy (10-7).

In the second game, Heine homered again with one on, bringing his RBI total to seven for the day.


Berkeley Springs 13, Goretti 0

Sarah Risinger had two hits, including a three-run homer, to lead Berkeley Springs past host St. Maria Goretti (3-12) in five innings.


Pitchers Samantha Zahnow (6-5) and Amanda Waltman combined on the two-hit shutout, while Ashley Hovermale and Tiffany Compton each had two hits for the Indians (13-12).

Hun 6-11, Mercersburg 0-6

MERCERSBURG, Pa - In the second game, Lizz Harvey had two hits, including a solo home run in the fifth, for the Blue Storm (5-8). Lauren Dobish had three hits.

Greencastle 10, Milton Hershey 0

HERSHEY, Pa. - Kayla Pond had two hits, including a two-run home run for Greencastle (11-2, 8-1). Amanda Ritchey had two hits with three RBI, Rochelle Christman had two hits and two RBI and Halie Damon had two hits.

The win clinched a District 3 playoff berth.

Frankfort 6-2, Hedgesville 2-10

HEDGESVILLE, W. Va - Chris Scanlan had a two run home run in the first game loss.

In the nightcap, Aaron Price struck out nine for the Eagles (10-13). Michael Lopez was 3-for-4 with three runs scored, Matt Stewart was 2-for-3 with four RBI, and Joey Bussard had three RBI.

Jefferson 20-3, Morgantown 6-1

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. - Johnathan Hash, Drew Stevens, Matt Tiano and Bobby O'Donnell all homered for Jefferson in the first game, Tiano was 2-for-4 with four RBI, Hash had three hits and five RBI.

In the nightcap, Tiano, Stevens and Wes Kidwell all had two hits for Jefferson (23-3).

Hedgesville 4-16; East Fairmont 3-1

FAIRMONT, W. Va. - Chelsea Oals had two hits, including a triple and Sara Forney had an RBI double as Hedgesville defeated East Fairmont in the first game of a doubleheader.

In the nightcap, Sara Forney had four hits, including a home run and Chelsea Oals had two doubles and four RBI to complete the doubleheader sweep as Hedgesville beat East Fairmont.

Jessica Mason had two hits, including a double, and Sam Mumaw had two hits, including a triple, for the Eagles (24-4).

On Friday, Hedgesville defeated Bridgeport 3-1 and lost the second game, 5-4.


Waynesboro 11, South Western 1

HANOVER, Pa. - Katie Staubs had three goals and two assists as Waynesboro routed South Western.

Jenna Lininger had three goals for the Maidens, while Leann Sebald and Samantha Sebald each had two goals, Olivia Shew and Lizz Bell each had a goal and Molly Sanders and Katie Sandifer each added an assist.


North Hagerstown 8, South Hagerstown 3

Kalvin Day scored three goals to lead North Hagerstown. Ben Unger, Dustin Vogel, Alex Henry, Bob Bechtel and Alex Rauch each scored one goal.

St. James 11, St. Johns Catholic Prep 3

SAINT JAMES - P.J. Mara had four goals and three assists to lead the Saints (13-1). Cyrus Morgan had three goals and one assist, Henry Warner had two goals and Jordan Barr and Taylor Ridgely each had one goal.

Troy Gogoll had three assists and Barr had an assist. Nick Beardsley had nine saves.

Hun 14, Mercersburg 4

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Chris Marston had two goals and Chris Stoken and Andrew Reichardt each had one for Mercersburg Academy.

Ben Axelrod and Myles Dowling each had an assist and David Chakola have 13 saves for the Blue Storm (1-7).


South Hagerstown 11, North Hagerstown 8

Susan Gore tallied six goals and one assist to lead South Hagerstown.

Carrissa Kesler had three goals and Jenna Mannick scored twice.

Ellie Psillas had four goals for North (0-7) and Jess Schlosser, Gabby Yacyk, Ashley Binau and Devan Veger each scored one.

St. James 12, Wakefield 3

At SAINT JAMES - Caroline Salisbury had four goals and three assists to lead the Saints. Gina Clapp had three goals, Jina Hontz had two goals, Sarah Louderback and Beth Anne Wilson had a goal each, Anna Morrow had one goal and one assist and Leila Chouia had two assists. Allie Marriott had 11 saves.

Hun 11, Mercersburg 10

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - The Blue Storm nearly rallied from a five-goal deficit but fell short in a Mid-Atlantic Prep League contest.

Gwen Buss had three goals and one assist for the Blue Storm (7-3, 1-3). Jenn Dillon and Jenelle Paolini each had two goals and two assists and Megan Dent-Carman had a pair of goals and one assist.
